June 5, 2023 - June 9, 2023
I can't believe our first week of art camp is over already! We had a blast learning about Vincent Van Gogh, Andy Warhol, Paul Cezanne, Claude Monet, and Filippo Brunelleschi. We used a bunch of cool art mediums like glow in the dark paint, air drying clay, and even paint filled water balloons!
The camp lasted 5 days and each day we learned about a specific artist. Then we created 3 projects that corresponded back to the highlighted artist and their artwork that we learned about. Most of the time the kids had the opportunity to really make the artwork their own which resulted in some pretty cool variations of the projects. Keep scrolling for more info and pictures.
What We Did This Week:
Monday - Vincent Van Gogh
We learned about Vincent Van Gogh and his unique brushstrokes! The kids even ended up applying these "new" brushstrokes to their other paintings later on in the week all on their own.
